    President & CEO

I signed on to lead the Ounce team in August 2008. We all think we know what a CEO is supposed to be and supposed to do. I have observed in my career that every role is situational. I have the best job in the company. (You get to do that when you start one. I recommend it.) I am fortunate to have joined Ounce at a great inflection point, where industry analysts unanimously agree that the fundamental way to stop the onslaught of data breaches is the systemic inclusion of vulnerability assessment, not just within the software development life cycle, but for as many applications as you can touch. In the old days of 2002 and 2003, when people wrote the words “application” and “security” together in a sentence, it was assumed to be a typo. In application security terms, I joined Ounce during “The Dawn of Civilization.” Read more
