OUNCE LABS TO PARTICIPATE IN TELUS WEB SYMPOSIUM ON WEB APPLICATION SECURITY

Security Expert Jack Danahy to Discuss How to Protect Your Business From Application Vulnerabilities

Waltham, Mass. - May 30, 2007 - Ounce Labs, the industry leader in application security risk management, today announced that the company's founder and Chief Technology Officer, Jack Danahy, has been invited to participate in a Web symposium on web application security sponsored by TELUS, a leading national telecommunications company in Canada.

The Web symposium will offer senior executives across multiple industries practical information to improve the security of their web-facing applications. Ounce Labs is the only company to be exclusively invited to participate in the symposium due in part to the Company's application security-risk management solutions in helping companies protect confidential information from unintended disclosure.

The Web symposium will feature Jack Danahy, CTO and Founder of Ounce Labs, an expert in application security and Dr. Richard Reiner, Chief Security and Technology Officer, TELUS Security Solutions, an internationally recognized authority on information and software security.

"Considering the increased frequency and success of attacks targeting vulnerable applications, it is clear that application vulnerability is today's biggest online threat," said Danahy. "As a rule, software is in an acceptably unknown state and organizations are looking to trusted partners like TELUS to help them understand and expose those issues. It will be educated software consumers that will drive a necessary revolution, bringing a new focus and responsibility for finding and fixing software vulnerabilities before they become major liabilities, and I am happy to help in any way with that education."

Ounce Labs offers the first vulnerability-assessment solution that enables enterprises to radically reduce the potential for security breaches by identifying, prioritizing and providing for remediation of application vulnerabilities across their entire IT infrastructure. These often-overlooked software vulnerabilities are what cyber criminals use to gain access to customer data and other confidential business information.
