Hugh Scandrett joined Ounce Labs as President and CEO after serving as vice president of development for IBM Rational. His responsibilities there included executive leadership and engineering management for the family of Rational products, which exceeded $750 million before the IBM acquisition. Prior to this position, he was vice president and general manager for software change management at Rational Software, leading the Rational® ClearCase® and ClearQuest® business units. During his tenure there, he helped drive substantial increases in market share, new channel development, and several highly successful product releases.
Hugh has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software and telecommunications industries, holding senior product engineering positions at DSC Communications (acquired by Alcatel in 1998) as well as various software management and engineering leadership positions at Nortel. Canadian born, he earned his bachelors degree in computer science from the University of Western Ontario and began his career as a software engineer.
Jack Danahy is founder and Chief Technology Officer of Ounce Labs as well as one of the industry’s most prominent advocates for software security assurance. Prior to Ounce Labs, he founded Qiave Technologies, a pioneer in kernel-level security that was acquired by WatchGuard Technologies in October of 2000. Previously, Jack served as Managing Director of Engineering for BBN/Genuity's managed security services.
Jack is a frequent speaker and writer on information security topics and has been a contributor to the US Army War College, the Center on Law, Ethics and National Security, and the House Subcommittee on Information Technology. He is often quoted as an industry expert in trade press and has been featured in general press such as CNBC, CNNfn, the New York Times, USA Today, Business Week, and the Washington Post. He is a member of the DHS Task Force on Security across the SDLC. He is also a charter member of the Treasury Department's New England Electronic Crime Task Force and was a participant in the Homeland Security Information Sharing initiative at the Department of Defense. He holds patents or has patents pending in kernel security, secure remote communications, systems management and distributed computing.
Doug
Fusco has demonstrated consistent success building top-performing
sales organizations and surpassing revenue goals for
over 20 years in the enterprise software market. He achieved
tremendous sales growth in previous positions as Vice
President of Sales for SAP and Director of Sales for
Oracle, and he has built teams to elevate emerging companies
such as Ketera Technologies into dominant industry leaders
with aggressive market adoption. Doug’s experience
delivering solutions that solve critical business issues
applies directly to the enterprise-level software assurance
requirements that Ounce Labs’ products address. Doug
received his BS from Cornell University in 1983.
Claudia joined Ounce Labs after serving as IBM Vice President, Business Development Rational Division. Prior to this position, Claudia served as Vice President, Product Management, Rational Division, driving product strategy across Rational’s automated software development solutions. Claudia also held numerous leadership positions during her 10 years at Rational, including Vice President, Rational Suites Business Unit and Director, Product Marketing, Change Management Business Unit. Claudia’s leadership helped Rational achieve and maintain market leading positions across automated software development solutions including design and construction, change, configuration and requirements management.
Claudia has over 20 years experience in the high tech industry. Before joining Rational, Claudia held management positions in marketing and product management at Interleaf. Prior to joining Interleaf, Claudia worked at IBM holding sales representative and customer system engineering positions as well as electrical engineering positions in product development. Claudia received her BS Electrical Engineering in 1982 from the University of Rhode Island.
Adam is the Vice President of Engineering for Ounce Labs. He oversees all research and development activities related to the design and delivery of Ounce Labs software security solutions as well as ongoing product support. Adam has an extensive track record as a leader within software development.
Adam brings 20 years of experience in engineering development and management with over 15 in the enterprise software industry. He has served in a variety of leadership roles while at IBM, Rational Software and SQA (Software Quality Automation). Prior to joining Ounce Labs, Adam was responsible for ClearQuest product development within IBM-Rational. While at SQA, Adam served as the engineering lead and architect of the Defect Tracking and Test Management solutions. While at Rational, among several roles, Adam served as the Director of Engineering for the SQA Business Unit.
Adam holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
Ryan Berg is a Co-Founder and Chief Scientist for Ounce Labs. In addition to advancing the state of the art in application security technologies, Ryan is also a popular speaker, instructor, and author, in the fields of security, risk management, and secure development processes. He holds patents and has patents pending in multi-language security assessment, kernel-level security, intermediary security assessment language, and secure remote communication protocols. Prior to Ounce, Ryan co-founded Qiave Technologies, a pioneer in kernel-level security, which later sold to WatchGuard Technologies in October of 2000. In the late 1990’s, Ryan also designed and developed the infrastructure for GTE Internetworking/Genuity’s appliance-based managed firewall and security services.
