DHS reorganization creates new cybersecurity position

Summary

Web application security will get a high-level champion at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as part of a broad reorganization. DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff elevated the cybersecurity chief at DHS by creating a position of assistant secretary for cyber and telecommunications security which will be able to tie cybersecurity efforts within government.
