Ounce Labs Extends Analysis Capabilities with Support for Classic ASP

Ounce Labs, the leader in software risk analysis, has announced support for Microsoft ASP (Classic ASP), expanding the language portfolio of its security audit software Ounce 5. It is the first static source code analysis solution to provide support for classic ASP to reduce web application vulnerabilities. Thousands of applications written using classic ASP have security vulnerabilities to various forms of attack, such as SQL Injection and cross-site scripting. Using an enterprise-class source code analysis tool to expose application vulnerabilities for remediation will result in fewer security incidents. Ounce Labs’ CEO Hugh Scandrett describes the support for classic ASP as a direct response to the customer base, because assessing and protecting hundreds and thousands of existing applications is as important as developing more secure applications.
